Start with 2 shoulder stands (or elevators) on the outsides and a
shoulder stand ( or elevator) in the middle.
For the inverted splits,
place 2 bases next to the middle shoulder sit facing forward, 2 bases
with their backs next to the outside shoulder sits, and 2 fliers
between each facing out. Have the flier grab the shoulder of the
outside base and have the outside base grab the shoulder of the flier.
Both individuals should place their hands with their thumbs down.
Have the other bases stand to the side of the flier (which is at the
back), and place her hands on the fliers' front hips and thigh.
On count the outer bases
bend slightly down, the fliers will jump and push off of the outer
bases, and the inner bases will assist and push the fliers up by
stepping in and grabbing both sides of the fliers' hips as she goes
inverted. The fliers need to make sure that they split gradually
as they go inverted (don't snap the splits). Now have the fliers
split/hitch to the shoulder sit fliers on either side for the finish.
NOTE:
you may use another base to assist with the flier going inverted.
NOTE:
This pyramid is inverted and is restricted by most if not all Jr high
and High school teams. All Star and College teams should be able
to do this pyramid just read your rules and regulations to be sure.
