"Ways to get over your fear of flying"
Cheerwiz.com  Here are 10 ways to get over your FEAR of flying: 1.) Try it on the ground - Try the stunt on the ground first. This way you can work on your own, and not put anyone in danger. 2.) Start Small - Now get your bases and do the stunt from a lower position. For example if you are doing an extended liberty, then try it NON-extended 1st. 3.) Understand - Understand what you are doing before you get up there. For example if you have NO idea how to pull a stretch, then it's NOT good to wing it in the air. 4.) Watch someone else - Watch another flier in the air. Notice what technique she uses and what adjustments she makes . 5.) Get many spotters - Some times by having many spotters it will put your mind at ease. 6.) Learn Technique - Learn the proper ways to execute the stunt, it will make the stunt easier to hit and make you more confident. 7.) Experience base - Sometimes having a more experienced and STURDY base under you will help get your confidence in the stunt. 8.) Just Do it - A lot of times it's the shaking from nerves that makes fliers fall. By knowing this you should just get up there and do it! You will find MORE success and LESS falls this way. 9.) Lean on me - (last resort) If all else fails you can place a STURDY elevator next to the stunt for the flier to lean on. Though this is NOT recommended for safety issues it does work. 10.) Brace - Get a Tall spotter,coach, and/or instructor to brace your leg high. This extra brace will give you the confidence to the pull any stunt, because you are NOT worried so much about falling.
